Logs in the kitchen fireplace

I didn't get much done yesterday because I was busy with real work.  But I did go out into our garden and snip some twigs into logs :)

I have to dull down the sheen of the bricks -- maybe it's time to put on the soot and grime!

  2. Soot and grime is good :-)

The twigs look great..perfectly scaled. Do you bake them or anything to make sure there are no bugs ?

  3. Tallulah Belle, you ask the best questions :)

No, I didn't bake them, but now that you mention it, I'm going to pop them into an oven, pronto! 1:1 bugs in a 1:12 house would be pretty terrifying for the inhabitants ...

  4. No no bugs...grime and soot but no creatures lol.

You can zap them in the microwave as well...that'll get the little buggers :-)

  5. Wow, thank you Jayne, I didn't know you can zap bugs out of "logs" in microwave. I use real plants a lot, especially twigs. I didn't do them as nicely as Nina though but I will need loads for the tribal house. Thank you, Nina, for the great idea.
